Napo Province, Yellow-breasted Antpitta

The Yellow-breasted Antpitta is the gregarious cousin of other Ecuadorian Antipittas. They tend to hide from humans. The Yellow-breasted will hike the trail, trying to stay ahead of you but never hiding from sight. We followed a pair of these birds while hiking the high paramo above Papallacta in the Cayambe-Coca National Park, Napo Province, Ecuador.
